Orchard Publishing is a design and typesetting company situated in Cape Town, servicing corporate and small publishers in South Africa and United Kingdom. We offer a personal service and speak the publishing language.

Books have been in our blood since 1992. During this time we have typeset books in 13 different languages, books with no words (except a title page and imprint), readers for tiny tots, law books for university graduates, 500 page gardening manuals with over 5 000 images, catalogues, database driven publications (generated code to ready to print book in 30 minutes) and everything in between! South Africa has a well established English speaking publishing culture. Technology and communications have matured with broadband internet common place. Ftp services, Skype, email and other convenient communication technologies are used regularly to correspond with clients, illustrators, editors and authors. We use industry standard Apple Mac hardware and Adobe Creative Suite software

We generally work from a supplied concept design, but are happy to adapt or update existing designs, and then follow through with page layout and typesetting.

All titles are prepared for print according to printers or publishers specifications, and final archive disk is supplied on completion of the project.
